USS RENTZ (FFG 46) Visits MCASI Iwakuni, Japan |

On 28 February 2010, USS RENTZ (FFG 46) arrived for the first-ever port visit of a U.S. Navy Warship to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni. The visit was a resounding success, and required a number of innovative solutions to naval logistics problems - including the first-ever refueling of a U.S. Navy Warship utilizing base Aircraft Refueling assets. This and many other hurdles were bounded by the partnership of the MCASI Logistic Department and Glenn Defense Marine Japan team.
